The Foam Lord nozzles were originally designed as a multi-role nozzle for use in refineries and chemical plants. They perform a dual role: Foam Lord nozzles are effective fog nozzles for use in exposure protection and cooling applications; they are also effective for applying non-aspirated foam to spill fires. These two risks often go hand in hand in refineries, chemical plants and oil terminals. When foam inducting fog nozzles were first released they represented a serious performance compromise. Throws were barely better than could be achieved with an aspirated foam nozzle. Our Foam Lord nozzles have rectified this so that very little performance compromise is involved when a Foam Lord nozzle is used. Foam throws are significantly better than can be achieved by aspirated foam nozzles, and the Foam Lord nozzles' performance with water is only marginally less than a standard fog nozzle. Non-aspirated foam produced by our Foam Lord nozzles (when generated with high quality AFFFs such as our Hydrofilm range or Alcohol Resistant AFFFs such as our Polarfilm range) is able to extinguish spill fires faster than any other method. The larger capacity Foam Lord nozzles have also found applications on our Longreach Trailers for storage tank fire fighting operations. It should be noted that non aspirated foam is often not as effective as aspirated foam for this application, but some times it will be the only way to get close enough. Our Longreach Trailers are available with both types of nozzles.

Flows
Un-equalled performance As with our fog nozzles, the Foam Lord nozzles are designed for a long life in harsh environments with minimal maintenance.
* lower flows are possible
All Foam Lord nozzles are available in 1% or 3% proportioning rates. Smaller nozzles are also available for 6% proportioning at standard sizes. For large nozzles 6% proportioning is not practical. At flows above 3,300 lpm the nozzle will require more than one 200 litre drum of foam per minute, a major logistical problem. For this reason only the FLD-50 and FLD-65 nozzles are normally available for use with 6% foam.
